posted a message on Easy speed build for T13
    Quote from Abob»

I would go with an Akhan condemn crusader. Its incredibly strong and versatile, so it will be easy work in T13 yet still allow you to tinker with a swiftmount into the cube and a couple of pieces of sages for the extra DBs.

The drawback is its a high cdr build so getting the right pieces can involve some perseverance but It is really worth it.

I switched back from Crusader to my beloved Wizard because of the issue of Speed runs (T13 and low GRs)
Condemn, just is not as fast as Wiz or Monk. However you slice it you need some kind of Teleport for mobility to keep up.

I tried everything making my Crus at least as fast as possible (which also was a demise cus I had more trouble picking up items with too much speed),

with instant casts (Unleashed, ...it's beyond me how some Crusaders run Vacuum in speeds, can't even comfortable use Steed Charge this way without waiting an eternity for the next Condemn cast....)

and not dependant on Focus Restraint (no Generator Skill every 5 Sec which makes every build kinda uncomfortable for me too, it's time not moving, not picking up nor killing monsters...).

So from a really optimized point of view Crusader is weak for speeds.
Just saying, overall every average player can be fast with every class and enjoy it. For me, I can't go back cus I feel that it lacks a bit.

Please be a bit more considerate.

About 8% of the male (and 0.5% of women) population are colorblind to some extent. I happen to be one of them, meaning that in my case I can hardly see black on red background or red on black background, so please believe me when I tell you, that 90% of the time I can only differentiate at first look a simple legendary item from primal by the stats, and if I look really hard, then I can notice the border difference...

(so ancients I notice easily, but simple leg and primal look almost the same to me)

So yeah, I did salvage primal by mistake, and I would definitely support such a change to appear in Diablo

    Same here,
there is a reason that many games nowadays have a "colorblind" mode. I also can distinguish ancients pretty easy but primal I need a second look. At this point I'm farming and therefor salvaging too fast to NOT salvage primals by mistake every now and then.

posted a message on EU Challenge 36 impossible?

I also finished it today in 6:30ish. But to be fair I tried it alot. It's a really difficult challenge.

Also it should be obvious that first you need to get used to the build, which 1) is not everyones taste and 2) is pretty difficult to get into. At least when you wanna be efficient, which you need to be in this CR.

Compared to wudijos original run I think it's better to grab the shield and immediately go the lower pathway in the battlefields. There are 4 elites pretty close with alot of density as well. It's really one big chunk of progress you can make during this period, especially with shield (since I think it's very difficult to survive the battlefields mobtype without it)

posted a message on EU Challenge 36 impossible?

i like it, i didnt yet manage to finish it, but what I think is really frustrating, that if you manage to get use to the build and pylon locations and all that stuff, you still need crit luck on boss to finish it in time. i think this is kind of ridiculous.

wudijo is a complete dh nerd, but I give him that that really he did that one on the first try, which is kinda beyond me right now ;)

one thing is for sure, it's actually the first time I will clear this CR for the sake of the challenge and NOT for the mats, cus obviously it's easier to do bounties in that regard...

    Like Emmo said,

one thing to note as well, is that the Strongarm effect wont apply to mobs that cant be knocked back like Rift guardians and alot of big monster types. Also crowd control immunities can affect the uptime on Strongarms.

If your question was regarding Solo play I would say Magefist would provide the better overall value.

The Strongarm effect however is prefered to use in group, since it will buff the dmg of all party members done to those mobs.

This also depends on how much fire additves he have already since 20% is not a 20 boost anymore.

that's why "like Emmo said"... he should check his overall gear. I highly expect no matter which class and build that at least there are some additive dmg bonuses already available equal to 40% (so same existing value like like fire neck + bracer), hence suggesting Magefist ;)

posted a message on AS vs Area Damage for Seismic Slam Barb build

since you should NOT build your leap rotations about earthquakes but mainly to keep your defensive set bonus up, the main advice here is to change hellfire/focus/restraint to the endless walk set + convention of elements.

I wonder why you use lut socks in cube. Get some useful item there. Cindercoat comes to mind if you're using Fire Seismic Slam.

Regarding your question if AS or AD, I would overall say it depends...CDR can be a good stat if you're using CoE, maximizing Wrath of the Berserker with your prefered CoE element up together with WotB most of the time. Or even RcR.

You also should consider going Bloodshed on Battle Rage. If you die too much that way, you can go Endless Walk + Unity instead.

I can't just get into a public bounty and not have at least 2 or even 3 members in the party being bots.

    How can you tell?
Some people have claimed in bounty groups that I'm a bot, and when I asked why, they gave a few reasons which don't make sense, like I'm too fast. Well, I play UE DH, which is quite fast for bounties, and I rush the objective because why wouldn't I? Don't understand.
I've never noticed a bot, but then again, I don't look. In public groups, I just want to get the objective done and leave.

That's interesting. I'm yet to see someone in a public game that clears their bounties faster than me. I play wiz and not even para 2k UE DHs that don't afk can keep up.
My rule for bounies is. dont pick up anything (almost no legs, for sure no dbs) don't do any bonus stuff (vaults, rainbows, bandits), dont open bounty reward chests. it's very frustrating that people - even at pretty high level - really still think that is of any benefit.
if everyone would just farm bounties like that we would all be in a normal Nephalem rifts again much faster and can farm all that stuff I mentioned much faster which you thought you missed out in not doing/pickin up/whatever in the bounty run.
And yes in an average pub bounty game I clear almost 3 entire acts myself. People are inefficient and claim you're a bot if you're efficient. It would be funny if it wasnt so sad :P

This. I've played the game since beta and have never used a bot. Now it feels like I'm playing the game wrong because I'm not botting.

Me too here. Never botted, never used Thud. never joined 4man meta group (neither push nor rathma)
The game just is kinda dead. People are not playing anymore or ...yeah botting.
I'm still ranked 2 solo Wiz in EU and that is basically since season start and without really trying too hard...

I'm using it for transcendence for my wol build. I have found that I am dying not by getting nuked but by not gaining hp back fast enough. so lets not have this turn into a heal monk stat fight. thx.

Well, I wanted to do a Shi Mizu build and it happened that almost every ancient item I've augmented has the bonus as a secondary (also some pickup radius, which is even worse for Shi Mizu). So there is that ;)

well, so it's not possible on pants and belt either.

on offhands it's also possible. like sources and mojos for example. So should be possible on shields too.

so now we have a complete list of which items can and cannot roll it as a secondary affix ;)

the stat cannot be rolled on weapons, helms, bracers and gloves. that's what I can tell for sure.

but need some zmonk expert to answer your question for all possible items.

posted a message on official solo mode + solo leaderboard?
    Quote from Barly»

    Quote from horrax1»

there are 2 reasons for me to group up. 1) bounties and 2) rift closer.

While you still are at a disadvantage when only playing solo this has improved a ton over the years. There really is no need for such a mode since I'm topping leaderboards even as it is right now.

Stop pretending those 1k-2k more paragon will make a world of difference.

Every half dedicated player can reach Para 1k and fully augmented gear by the end of a season. With that you're not even that far behind as you might think...

Besides you can inspect every guy on the leaderboard. So there you have your solo only mode / leaderboard. Just check paragon and gems.

It's not just about paragon. It's also loot sharing, gem levels, how quickly you get mats, and what class you play.
If there was a solo self found season in d3, I would personally have more fun, because everyone would be on the same level. I don't need to make a necro or barb to get in the top speed farm groups.

well in the end that is what counts. paragon. eventually you will get almost the same gear anyway.
gem levels yeah, look up my previous post. while i still say there are some disadvantages, they are very slim. if you wanna go solo self sound, just do so. that's what I do more or less since forever...
